Folks.. got a question for y'all..

Do you think all of this HFT black box trading has essentially put in the fix on the markets?

Everywhere I go I've seen discussion of the H&S formation this market is putting in. It's a clear as day and both expert and amateur market technicians have commented on it.

But since we know that up to 80% of all trading volume is Black Box generated, is it possible that the Fed could use the discount window to provide cash liquidity to the banks to fund their proprietary trading operations on the understanding that they put a floor under this market?

That 1040 S&P neckline should have been resistance in a H&S breakdown. In fact, as I understand H&S breakdowns, they should almost immediately sell off and any rally bangs it's head on that neckline. Instead, we bounced off the 1000 level on consistently light volume.

So I'm just putting it out there for comment.. Is it possible that we really do have a PPT and they are utilizing HFT to paint the tape and prop up the market?
