Why are bonds up so far!!! Flight to quality(?), projected economic slowdown in 1998, widespread perception that the Fed is hamstrung by the currency krisis. It's maddness out there. Noone seems to care that a) inflation is a lagging indicator and b) Greenspan may have reached an age where he is more concerned about his legacy than the Dow and Hang Seng. PTB
