My response to tejek:
I know all of that tejek, but I think you have interpreted it incorrectly, with all due respect.
Obama was elected by the independents because they wanted him to take on Wall street and fight the right wing forces that destroyed this country and take us back to the days of JFK.
Remember, Obama's campaign rhetoric was far left and independents loved it! The independents wanted Obama to fight the right wing.
Obama didn't govern like he campaigned. Not pandering to the right wing, had shored up the middle class by running the money to the banks though the middle class e.g. helping them to easily refinance first and second mortgages that are a bit underwater (as Stiglitz and Krugman recommended); concentrated on jobs rather than health care (the way he did), rammed through the Public option by reconciliation, and persued the Wall street criminals as criminals, and been all over the oil spill kicking BP's ass, and the right wing, showing strong leadership, we would not have lost the independents.
Tejek, the independents are not leaving Obama for anything the liberals are doing; it is because of what Obama is doing, or not doing! |
