We thougth he meant all the way out, not leaving 50,000 toops there. Or increasing Afghanistan to voer 100,000 in a bullshit war. He promised to shut down gitmo by the end of the year; and ending no ask don't tell. And certainly ending rendition and torture! So we thought he talked about prosecuting the torturers, ending rendition, prosecuting Wall street, making Canadian drugs legal, not cutting deals with big Pharma, Taking on the rich and corporations. Crysta Freeland just said 75% of all the gain in wealth from 2002 to 2006 went to the top 1% of the richest people in the country. We thought Obama would deal with that too. So looking at the above when hte depression came, we all expected and GDR type response to the depression. Last year Goldman Sachs made record profits while mainstreet is suffering big time. Exxon also made record profits.
