The problem is spending gets increased in booms, average times, recessions and depressions.....they know nothing else and squeal like stuck pigs at the thought of any real fiscal management.....none of it is sustainable at some point(and we're past that point)....it was not hard to predict that governmental fiscal foolishness would outstrip growth rates in the real world. None of this was a mystery....just like knowing GM's legacy cost would eventually swamp them. You have no business asking anyone if they have taken economics courses.
