It was the way it was handled and couched. And I am very typical of the left. You didn't even figure out the democratic party until two years ago. What were you doing before that? HOw come it took you so long? People did not like Lincoln or JFK until that understood them. Obama won as a Robert Kennedy lefty. YOU think all those college kids were moderates and all those independents weren't voting for another JFK??? Give me a break. Most of the people who voted for Obama were just kids or weren't around when Robert Kennedy was alive. Most of the people who were alive then did not vote for Obama.....the boomers mostly went for McCain. And where Obama has lost support is among the independents who lean right......he's lost the least amount of support among young liberals. Don't go into political campaing management. the right wing's bitch against Obama has a smuch to do with racism as anything. so no amount of cozying up to them was going to bring them around. Obama won with liberals and people who may have not been liberals, but voted for a liberal agenda anyway as it sounded good to them. Obama won on a platform of change after 8 years of a bad president.....nothing more, nothing less. Besides liberals are not leaving him it is the independents who you like that are deserting him. That's right. And they are abandoning him because they think his agenda may be too liberal........a position which is fueled by all the Rs' talk of socialism and Hitler. And let me tell you, you do not know how many emails are getting circulated by the right painting everything Obama has done as extreme socialism that will hurt them in their pocketbooks. Here's one I got from my sister this week: FW: TAX SURPRISE, 2011 snopes.com She gets these kind of emails on a weekly basis. And your griping plays right into their agenda.....so much so I encourage you to work for the Sarah Palin campaign in 2012. I have never understood how the Dems got so blindsided in 1994. Now, I do.
