Does anyone else think these 3rd-4th place matches are nothing but a futile exercise of masochism? No, I find they are entertaining games of soccer. As it turns out, Germany scored the most goals of any team in the World Cup. Congrats to Spain for scoring 7 goals in 6 games, which brings to mind the WNBA. If Germany loses today´s game But they didn't. If Spain had won three World Cups, they'd have won as many as Germany. If Spain had won six World Cups, they'd be better than Brazil. As it is, Spain is just a minor footnote in the history books of the world's greatest game. Tom
