Let's leave the polls out of this for a minute (they're just a part of the propoganda machine). Pres Obama wasted two years of his presidency appealing to the right wing, instead of consolidating his strength with the rest of us citizens. He is a poor strategist. Moreover, with Rahm, he tied even more dead weight to his ankles. Why do you think Obama spent so much time trying to appeal to the wingers? Because that's what Americans wanted. More importantly, that was what the independents wanted which is the largest voting bloc in this country. You can't have your feet in two different boats, and now we will all be paying the price. So be it. Survival of the fittest, maybe even civil war. It took 7 1/2 years for the Rs to turn on Bush. It took liberals 8 months to turn on Obama. That speaks volumes!
