How many people were living then?! :-) Adam and Eve did not know they were missing a son???! :-) A good Christian apologist would say, however, that the mark was to hold back the ANIMALS! Something a poisonous spider would understand! ;-) The old "sevenfold vengeance" is still a good one! I wonder what God meant?? And why would it be necessary when there is a "MARK" to prevent such an occurrence!? Good Golly!? LOL!! Perhaps if Adam were to go blind and accidentally kill his son??!! Then we would see that "sevenfold vengeance"!! Probably nothing so great and wonderful as an eternity of burning!! "Seven" hardly compares to INFINITE!!
