The majority of people around the world disagree with you, BC. Global commerce, which depends daily on loans and insurance, was almost completely frozen due to a lack of both. It wasn't a matter of people losing their bank accounts. It's not your father's depression.. dailymail.co.uk It's easy after the fact to say otherwise. Most people's attention span is no longer than a gnat's, and the debt incurred we will be paying for a long time after the panic was averted. We're talking about something that WOULD have happened. It's the same as the Bushies claiming that the war in Iraq prevented us from being attacked at home for eight years. I don't believe THAT one!
