Voodooist - i think when you mentioned TXT for the first time, the price was in the mid teens, now it's at 17.7$. if you indeed averaged all the way down to 3.7$ more power to you but you have to admit that it wasn't exactly a slam dunk.

As for my I concentrate on safety first and returns later. I also try to be agile and sell quickly if the initial thesis does not work out.

As for AVNW - i just don't know. The stock is probably oversold due to the crummy market condition and may rebound quickly but the LT track record tells me that there is a high possibility of LT underperformance.

Lot's of stocks can be traded and I do that as well but I prefer to trade the one that I also wouldn't mind keeping around for a longer period. AVNW is not such a stock. I also prefer to deal with stocks where I can build up some expertise or maybe even an edge ( that's why I like regional banks ). I feel with AVNW I am at a disadvantage relative to insiders and those that know the industry.
