Don't kid yourself.

They need to place blame on a fall guy to move the
process along to conclusion.

Mr. Gary Johnson seems the likely party. Remember that
Donatao and the other directors want to distance themselves
from this problem since it could easily turn from civil to criminal
if the SEC goes involved. They want to maintain they knew
nothing about the "error." The easiest thing to do, then, is
to turn on Gary and give him up to the wolves.

They probably knew what was going on, but to ensure
they are not culpable will kick out ole Gary, the dumb Brit,
who after all was a bit unsure about "US customs in this
regard" anyway.

Maybe they play fast and furious with the numbers back in
Footsy land.
