Hmmm....

Winning attitude is terribly important....yes. But winning is a zero sum game. And it comes from correlates that aren't very positive. So if you've had a very happy childhood for example, and get along great with your siblings and your parents, I'd think it would difficult to drum up the competitiveness necessary for sports....in more cases than not, there probably has to be a lack (significant lack) that transforms into motivation.....a sort of threat to survival has had to have been experienced. Sibling rivalry is the groove which such motivation builds upon...

So in therapy I'd work with that (negative) aspect in order to motivate....

I'm not sure what kind of social life Spaniards have....but the "hunger" is necessary....
