ok -- I wonder how far away we are from actionable worry about risks of US government debt -- I suppose it will just be an all at once sort of recognition -- people talk about it now, but don't take it seriously -- of course, all the options that policymakers are considering are downright disastrous: raising taxes, printing, ignoring and hoping it will go away ... everything except the two things that could help: cutting spending and cutting taxes ...
