Just a thought .... If Iran, a predominately Muslim nation, was successful in detonating a Nuclear device within Israel, how would they prevent thousands of fellow Muslims from also perishing in that explosion ? How enthusiastic and supportive of Iran would be those surviving Muslim members whose relatives or friends had had “suicide” imposed on them with no say in the matter ?

Israel is not a large territory. You can drive from one end of the country to the other in a relatively short time. You can also drive across the country in an even shorter space of time.

And Jews and Muslims live virtually cheek-by-jowl from one another, not to mention the numerous other nationalities that also inhabit that small state, many of them from a diverse religious cross-section.

It’s my belief that one of the Prime reasons that any country, especially the smaller, radical ones, strive for a “Nuclear capability” is to then be able to demand a seat at the table with the “Big Boys” and exert an influence there for their own particular ends. It’s not likely that they will ever use their Nuclear arsenal because that will initiate their own downfall and destruction.

The saner, more sensible and responsible members of the World community must band together in greater unison and impose whatever sanctions and like forces are necessary to ensure that ANY country ONLY develops Nuclear energy, primarily, for the production of electricity for their base load and so increase their industrial capacity and provide greater contribution to the world of commerce and all that goes with that peaceful pursuit.
