Before national healthcare.. I was really ill as child.. Family got together and helped out my folks.. I likely would've died and my folks (teens with kids) been bankrupted. As it was it was still a huge setback paying back.. Yeah I cannot let go of the promise of public healthcare , public education.. done right .. everybody wins.. and yes.. my daughter starts university out of town next fall.. likely one year in Europe too.. lucky I can swing it.. and my kids are bright and work under a harsh taskmaster :o).. sadly lots of bright kids don't get the chance.. lots of undeserving one do.. does not serve the public good...
