I happen to be very pro Sun in this java-war, but if they did futz with the benchmarks, then whomever knew about it should be fired, all the way up. If Scott McNealy knew about it, then Sun is in trouble. Sun has to maintain a very high standard in this battle or it will lose all the good will it has generated. "Microsoft does it too," will not cut it.
