You DIDN'T get a plug in Prius? Why not?

They aren't available.

Kits to convert them to plug ins have been available for several years. Of course, doing so will void the warranty.

BTW, driving a Prius for its fuel economy (high MPG) is certainly a valid reason to purchase one, but thinking that you're "saving the environment" at the same time is way off base. Just the carbon footprint to mine and ship the nickel for the batteries from Canada to Japan and back exceeds any green benefits from driving the car.

If you want to see some real environmental destruction, check out where your Prius batteries come from. Talk about a polluted lunar landscape..
