Obama's popularity numbers have fallen further, (right now they are at about exactly the same place that Clinton's numbers were at the equivalent point in his first term, and a bit ahead of where Reagan's numbers were at the same point in his first term)... but Obama's numbers are still far better then those for the DEMOCRATS in CONGRESS, and the Democrats in Congress are still four points better off then the REPUBLICANS in CONGRESS.

So, my take on it is that the public has deeply soured on ALL INCUMBENTS!

(And the public is likely to swing control of the House of Representatives back to GOP control this Fall --- not because they support the Republicans' agendas, because they clearly don't --- but for the exact same reason that I gave for why GOP control of Congress would be busted-up back when Bush II held the White House: for TACTICAL REASONS.)

The public understands the wisdom in not having one Party control of the mechanisms of power in Washington.
