RE: Hoover. One has to ask when Hoover spoke those words. He was in office '28-'32. Certainly running up into the '29 crash there was an orgy of debt. If we are talking post crash and stimulus then the parallel is even stronger. Either way...waste and debt lead to ruin. Would you please send that graphic to Messrs Bednanke and Geithner. Oh. And one to Easy Al, ex post facto of course.
