Best guess now is a pinched nerve in my lower spine, caused by a compromised disc.

Could also be stenosis, where the little tube in the vertabrae the nerve comes through gets calcified and narrowed down, irritating the nerve. If that is the problem, the solution is a relatively benign surgery.

Lynne has nasty back problems due to degenerative arthritis. She had a round of cortisone shots a few weeks back that seemed to have helped a lot.

Good luck to you on this. Just about nothing worse than bad back pain, IMO.
