I know. It's a sad situation. However, I will point out that there was a brief moment in time when the Dems had a super majority in the Senate and a House where Pelosi could get anything she wanted, and yet, the Dems still dithered and allowed themselves to be bullied by the GOP. They passed a weak health care reform bill. They are about to pass a worthless FinReg bill. They completely punted on a new energy policy. And they continue to fund these stupid ass Middle East wars. In short, the Dem Congress has been an abject failure on all the things I voted them in for.

Having witnessed that, I've become convinced that the Dems just have no balls and are simply not an effective party. When the GOP had slight majorities in both parties during the Bush Administration, they got shit done and gave the Dems the finger. All of us Centrists who voted for the Dems in 2008 and gave them the super majority were hoping they would give the GOP the finger and pass the agenda we voted them in to pass.

But they didn't do that and now they will pay the price. I really have very little sympathy for ineffective leaders. It's perform or get fired. So at this point, I'm happy that we'll have a hung Congress. It's a useless organization anyway. Might as well be hung than to pass worthless legislation, gutted of any real value.
