it is because many blacks reject the long standing culture in the USA. of course many blacks have also been assimilated into the culture. those blacks are of benefit to everyone. they work and produce and live peaceful, honorable lives. there are many blacks that support the teaparty movement. unfortunately, there are also a large number of blacks that reject our culture. there are also a larger number of whites that reject our culture (ayers, sunstein). but fortunately, it is a very small percentage. it is the percentages that made me answer the way i did. no race is my enemy. only a very few other cultures are my enemies. cultures that don't try to destroy me or my culture are not enemies, to me.

my effort not to offend is self-serving. i believe that it is very difficult to listen to anyone that is being offensive. if one can make a good argument without being offensive, there is better chance of success.

i don't hold my beliefs for expediency. i have said what i believe right to faces of many who oppose me, including other races. i just don't think what i believe should be offensive to any race. but people do sometimes take what i say the wrong way.

being too nice is being phoney. and i question if altruism is at all real. after all, everything we do begins within us. given that, how is it possible that everything we do isn't for ourselves? |
