My word, where to begin. If you privatize schools, the inequalities we now have in the system only get worse; if you privatize the police, ditto; if you privatize garbage pickup, ditto; if you privatize, just name it.

One way to read the present campaign against public workers is as an entrenched attack on the middle class. Note, again, that the attackers are taking increased taxes for the wealthy off the table.
