no, no, no --- not the way to get a bargain on paint....

... if i didnt feel i could afford a can a paint i would contact local painting contractors. they often have left over paint from jobs and i suspect one could get some paint for FREE.

esp, an unusual color. disposing of leftover paint is big expense in our environmentally conscious times.

most people -- like myself - have several gallons of paint in their garage they need to get rid of. our city has one of those "save the environment days" every so often and the last time they had one i had MANY GALLONS of left over paint (partially used 5 gallon buckets). a lady i knew whose husband was a painting contractor had so many gallons of paint in his garage that i had to make two trips for her in my toyota pickup to get rid of them all.
