Taxing the undefined rich at a higher rate will not raise enough money to fix the mess that has been created by promising too much to public workers with low retirement ages and fat pensions combined with job security.

Nor does anyone I know argue that. In fact, that's classic right wing framing that tries to take a comprehensive solution off the table. Argue that "taxing the rich" won't solve the problem.

What I've argued for is, as above, a comprehensive solution in which higher taxes on the wealthy and on businesses are on the table along with surgical approaches to dealing with public sector issues.

Your approach is simply to further the right wing framing--let's keep the taxes as unequal as they now are. And, of course, let's keep them off the table as a way to help solve the present problems.

In fact, the results will be to make them even worse. In fact, this is a campaign against middle class workers.
