I have no evidence about anyone being bitten by poisonous snakes and surviving, except .... my grandparents told me of someone they knew who was bitten by a rattlesnake, didn't go to a doctor, and survived quite well. I don't know anything about his religious background.

I don't personally know of anyone who has had hands laid on them at all.

So I guess I just don't have a base of experience to deal with this.
