Inception

I got to see a special screening of Inception this week at the producer's screening room.

Christopher Nolan wrote, directed and produced the flick.

He also W,D and P'd The Dark Knight, The Prestige, Memento and others.

If you ever saw Memento, you will have an appreciation for the complexity of his storylines. Inception definitely takes your brain for a ride while you try to keep all the ins and outs straight.

Visually the movie is spectacular. And they didn't always use CG to get effects (they actually built one set on a gimble with a stationary camera to show a spinning room).

The storyline is complex at a number of levels and is deeper than it seems on the surface.

Acting is great throughout.

Loved the movie. Didn't quite receive my "spiritual enlightenment" rating, but it was definitely a good ride.

I was looking for MD Jr's name in the credits...appears he didn't work on this one.
