I think we'll eventually be seeing progressive taxes rising at the high end of the scale and on interest and capital gains to start paying for the hole we're in. I also think many rich Democrats know this too. The people put Obama in, not the rich backers, although they did help on the campaign. To keep their grass roots backing, Obama and congress should raise taxes on the rich. All the Republicans have for their elections is tons of money and only whacked-out grass rooters - that ain't enough to win a presidency and is likely not enough to take over congress either.
