It's easy to forget just how much it costs to run for office these days, Jeff, and how much, even those who run for seats in the House must pay. I wouldn't be surprised to see some increase in taxes on the wealthy--estate taxes should do some correction. But not wholesale changes. Unless we were to have public financing for campaigns. And given the current hold that big money has on the present congress, it's about as likely to happen as single payer healthcare.
