Well strike the 'gong of surprise' and stir my 'cornpone'... in fact, just 'color me amazed'....
(And... yes, I'm aware of the river, the nation, the sub-Saharan history, etc....)
But, (and in the context of American national culture, with all it's goods and ills), I thought I'd heard some questionable parental name choices tagged on offspring before (a 'boy named Sue', Velveeta, Clem, Posy, heck - even 'Spinal Meningitis Snodgrass' and 'Mohatma-Kane Jeeves' from entertainment and literature), but obviously my list wasn't complete yet. :-)
