Sounds like you made the shift with the rest of American society to more tolerance and openness to differences.

There is a substantial, angry rump out there who are basically reliving the Archie Bunker existence and have been since '68. It's very sad, to be lost in anger and resentment constantly like that.

Especially for a world that ain't ever comin' back. I often wonder if social conservatives ever sit down among themselves and admit, hey, you know, we haven't really won on any of our main causes in the last 30 years. And the tide keeps turning more and more against them.

Once the 20-somethings of today are the 40-50ish bracket, the old dream will be dead and gone, completely kaput.
