Chip - Re: "Anyone remember the GEM OS that was supposed to replace Windows?"

I do.

It was written by Digital Research Inc. (DRI) - Gary Kildall's company. The company that wrote CP/M, the first O/S for 8080/Z80 microprocessors.

GEM was an OK product - but somewhat limited. It actually worked properly several years before Microsoft got Windows 3.1 out the door.

DRI was sold to Novell about 6 years ago.
