Wrong analysis, sugarcoating: if you take the pool to be 100, the 40 that still support him are the ones he has been trying to appease with his vanilla policies.
Most of us have dropped out after seeing 1. Surge in Afghan 2. Lousy health care bill 3. More secrecy in government 4. Roll-over for Israel 5. Roll-over for Wall Street
Actually it's good news for America, because it shows we can't be BSd with good speeches forever. It's not the lack of jobs we see. There's already too many government jobs. It's the lack of jail sentences for the financial engineers who ripped us off, the lack of vision for our security (it ain't in Afghanistan), the lack of firings for incompetence, and on and on.
President Obama has shown us the futility in trying to please opposing sides, be it Republicans or lobbyists. Don't throw the banks their bone & then come in front of us & say it's reform. He is looking more & more like the apologist for the powers behind the scenes. This democracy is a charade.
