You mean "you'll know...", right? Because apparently you already know what the "new rules" are... Intel already being subject to them, and all.

Perhaps I was not clear or you haven't been following the news releases. Yesterday, some of the news reports said the terms of the Intel/AMD settlement would be extended to the general CPU/Graphics market. If those reports are correct then Intel is already subject to those rules for all but the tiniest portion of the CPU market and has no discrete graphics products. With Graphics moving to the CPU package if not completely to the CPU die, it's hard to see who, other than AMD is involved here.

The open question is, what about licensing IP to companies such as Nvidia. Intel has always been willing to license their IP in return for fair value. Nvidia claims they currently have a license for interfacing to Nehalem class CPUs, Intel says they do not. I can not see Intel accepting any settlement that requires their giving their IP away without fair value in return. AMD pays royalties.

We need details.

will require it to extend changes demanded under its November settlement with Advanced Micro Devices to graphics chips, according to a source close to the agency.
