Well, short of getting rid of the Fed (which I agree is ideal), you're gonna get price distortion. I believe it would be less with higher ST rates.

OTOH, the market IS saying in it's own way that there are very few good credit risks so in fact the banks SHOULDN'T be lending. That's true as far as it goes....but it won't help us out of the Greatest Depression.
