Well, I don't disagree with your last sentence.

And I brought up '63 because you brought up MLK. It's a long time ago, but people take awhile to change (even if they are well-intentioned....and some aren't). 1990 was a long time ago, too.....

>>did you miss where she was part of a $Billion settlement to fraudulent 'black farmer' payouts (payoffs) and ultimately ended up holding a position of 'power'?<<

She and 20,000 other plaintiffs won a class action suit. I don't know all the particulars, it had to do with USDA policy toward black farmers in Georgia. It was adjudicated in a federal court (who aren't known for their excessive generosity in civil cases generally). Was it a bad decision? I don't know, but she pursued it through the correct legal channels and won. That's the right way to go about it, is it not? Better than throwing a bomb or shooting someone, correct?

The stuff with the Chrysler dealerships was deplorable, I also agree with you there. And the current AG definitely has to go (obvsiously my main axe to grind with him is SB 1070, but there's lots of other stuff).

I think the R's will take the House in November which will end the most abusive practices. 2012 is still a long way off.
