mq,re: Speculators are heroes,.... deserving of national awards, being willing to step up to the plate and hit for the boundaries when others are wanting to bunt or cower in the dugout. Tell that to the millions of small / average investors who lost their shirts in the 50% meltdown- IRA / Pension funds/ savings plans/ kids college plans wiped-out, retirement delayed- out of question. Got any idea how many pension plans are in dire straits--- suffering huge losses and with less prospect of earning “normal” returns in the future due to real investors abandoning the market / stricter regulation & higher taxes limiting returns?
