Down here it seems like regular folks just don't talk about it anymore. Too depressing. Nothing you can do. The restaurants and bars, always slow anyway during the summer are empty and many are going out of business. Probably the smaller hotels on the beach also, though I don't know that.

Unemployment now well over 12% and getting worse.
