The story that was totally "overlooked" by the leftwing media was last week's finding that the closing of dealerships was totally unnecessary and served only do further damage to an already ailing economy.

Almost NOBODY reported it. Another pathetic failure of the left wing media to report something potentially damaging to their boy.

The mishandling of the GM situation is yet another instance of gross incompetence in the administration that scarcely got a mention in the media.

From the report:

One GM exec said closures weren’t going to make much difference at all:

GM would usually save ‘not one damn cent’ by closing any particular dealership. … Furthermore, a GM official stated that removing a dealership from the network does not save money for GM — it might even cost GM money — and that savings cannot be attributed or assigned to any one dealership.

I believe at the time I made this exact argument in this very thread, only to be challenged by CJ on it, at which point I corrected him.

And the fact is that by closing these dealerships, there wasn't a nickel saved yet thousands and thousands of jobs were needlessly lost at a time when we could least afford it.

You won't hear the "genius" Obama bragging about THAT, will you?
