Salazar Announces Mr. Tom Healy to Join Advisory Board
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 23, 2010) - Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SRL)(FRANKFURT:CCG) Mr. Fredy Salazar, President and CEO, is pleased to announce that Mr. Tom H. A. Healy, (M.Sc., P. Eng.) has joined the Company's Advisory Board.
Mr. Healy is a Mining Engineer, University of Melbourne graduate, holds a post graduate degree from Royal School of Mines, with 40 years' of open pit and underground mine design, operations, and management experience for base and precious metals, coal, oil sands, diamonds and industrial minerals projects. He has an in-depth understanding of the minerals industry, gained from a blend of operating, consulting and EPCM experience, and provides a balance between practical knowledge and creative engineering skills. He has had progressive engineering and management responsibilities; Production Engineering at Mount Isa Mines and Cominco's Sullivan Mine underground operations; Mine Engineering Superintendent at Pine Point Mines Ltd. open pit and underground operation; Calgary Manager Mining for H.A. Simons (now AMEC), a major Canadian Engineering and Construction Management company.
Mr. Healy has been involved with numerous resource projects in Canada and globally including China, Philippines, Indonesia, Canada, USA, Australia, Sweden, Zambia and Slovakia. He is currently the COO and Senior Vice President of Halo Resources Ltd. exploring for copper and zinc in the northern Manitoba VMS district.
