In spite of all this "dragnet of secrecy", the US security continues to be breached as evidenced by the recent busting of the Russian spy ring, the arrest of Israeli spies in the US etc.

Furthermore, if the post article is to be believed, then how is it that we failed to trap the Iranian double agent.

After all, if what the Post story about the massiveness of the secrecy dragnet is true, then these events could have been prevented much before.

From your post it seems you take most of the things that the press says to be true. Well, then in that case, I watched FOX News on the day the Russian spy ring was busted. They had an issue with Obama having burgers with the Russian President on the very day that his agents were busting the spy ring. FOX opined that "it was unethical for Obama to do so". FOX talking about ethics!!!
