1. They aren't even trying

2. Agreed, some Republicans would have to vote to re-instate it.

3. It clearly isn't fair. Fairness might get it passed.
Someone died last year...pays 45% estate tax. Dies this year. ZERO estate tax. Dies next year - pays 55%. Someone tell me that's fair taxation?

Irrespective of whether one agrees with an estate tax or not. How much, etc. It's one of the most ridiculous tax laws I've ever seen.
