You may be right. I was trying to find statistical evidence somewhere, not anecdotal support. Do you have some? If you google "hidden costs of exercise" you get a link to "hidden costs of being fat" articlesbase.com. Besides, many people have insurance benefits that pay in the event of earlier death. That's a cost to the system. They often drop death benefits as they get older. I wouldn't call weekend warrior activities the same as regular exercisers. In fact, many of those injuries are because people don't exercise, but get out to play and injure themselves in the brief quest for glory, LOL. That shouldn't count against exercisers, many of whom don't compete. If you are right, this government really needs to advocate obesity in order to pay for health care.
