What new limitations have been imposed?
The gulf is shut down, ANWR and other parts of Alaska have been placed off limits, as well as offshore Pacific and Atlantic coasts. Coal mining and usage are under constant attack, natural gas fracing technology is under attack, vast areas containing gas, coal, oil, shale and tar sands in the Western US have either been placed off limits or are tied up in endless litigation. Yucca Mountain has been closed by Obama and that insufferable asshole, Harry Reid, as developing more nuke power in general has been halted for decades. The out of control bureaucrats in the EPA are constantly threatening new restrictions and sanctions on energy production and usage. Enviro idiots and their butt buddy political allies attempt to black ball Canadian oil imports. The list goes on....
In the meantime, we have these same idiots mandating and subsidizing inefficient and polluting corn ethanol production, killing endangered turtles by covering the desert with expensive and subsidized solar panels (that only work when the sun is shining), erecting inefficient, noisy bird and bat killing, visually polluting (except in Nantuckett and other wealthy liberal enclaves) windmills, again, mandated by political idiots and subsidized by taxpayers and utility rate payers. And these are the same dimwits that constantly yammer and yap about making us "energy independent", while simultaneously making it impossible for this country to do so..
