The old man died on Monday Oct.6, and the conference
call took place after the close on Wednesday Oct.8.
Vivus started to go down the next day. There were
no negative news in the conference, and it seems
very likely that some MMs got wind of his death
and started selling in panic without at that time
knowing the circumstances. After all he was part
of the FDA study and quite a few people would
know about it. The news release today explained
the incident, and it is obvious that the guy died
of a heart attack or stroke unrelated to Muse.
The release came out just before the market
closed, and we saw a one point uptick in just a
few minutes. Just before Vivus was down 1 3/4.
I think this has been overhanging the stock all
these weeks and we have finally cleared the air.
