My experience is different. My home is almost entirely spirals. Really no problem other than choosing the right color.

The so called daylight color bulbs are no better at reproducing a white spectrum than others. It's very confusing at Home Depot.

The spotlights are weak too. I had a couple of 200wt bulbs on the front of my home and tried the brightest spiral spots I could find. $15 mistake. They don't put out nearly the lumens.
