Hank - Please educate me, I must have missed something.
Ok, you are an unabashed Dell bear at the moment because you think the stock is ahead of itself. You claim to have been shorting heavily up to Dell's high and in so many words, timed the market very well on this one. As well, you maintain 60 to 64 is almost certain.
What I have not seen in any one of your posts is a clear, logical, rational, statitically backed analysis as to what leads you to your conclusions. This leads me to believe that possibly your call was pure luck, gut feeling or instinct and we all know what the long term success rate is for that kind of strategy.
If you could, please post:
1. Your methods for valuing high growth stocks 2. Your methods for predicting the direction and magnitude of short term price moves 3. Specifically, why Dell is going to 60-64
Or maybe none of the above. In short, how do you analyze stocks and arrive at your conclusions.
Not trying to pick a fight here. I am well aware that there's money to be made on both sides of a stock but you gotta be real good to consistently swim against the tide and win.
If you can post quality insights to your methods, not antecdotal or wishy-washy hoopla, I'll post a detailed analysis as to why Dell would be appropriately valued at $60/shr today, but not as to if and when it may go there. I believe no-one can do that.
