Today's market went up because of the increase in home sales. What? If the market participants actually think the housing part of the economy is going to be any kind of driving force in the next 5-10 years, they are crazy. It was so overblown on the upside, and now we are in the midst of flushing out the extreme excesses, excesses like we have never seen before, that it will be eons before it can have a meaningful positive influence in the economic engine of our economy. Another example of past theories that have become extinct. Yet those who look at that kind of information will make incorrect deductions for a very long time.
