Sorry for not answering sooner, but I had to "dredge up" a copy of a Sudanese Map. Best guess would be that Arakis' concession would lay within both portionsof the two zones, depending of course where the border will be drawn. As you can imagine that will be "hotly disputed" by both sides.

If you look at a map of the Sudan, I would just guess that most of the provinces of Equatoria, Junglei, El Buheyrat, and the Upper Nile might be placed into the southern zone.

Also part of the Southern Kordofan might go in- if you look at a map of the Sudan, zero in on the Southern Kordofan SW of Khartoum- you can see that about midway inthe Province African place names end and Arabic place names begin. Just a guess....
